This single-vineyard offering from Martinborough s Vynfields shows earthy dark cherry and plum fruits, macerated red berry fruits, shiitake broth and subtle oak, along with lighter shades of game and forest floor. The palate is a bit overly compacted and finishes slightly short, but provides a nice enough drink.

This little organic producer has captured bright meaty notes and liquorice, the oak sits up slightly and makes a cedary impression, earthy too. In the mouth it's all fine breezy tannins and dense juicy dark cherry fruit, some plums, lots of liquorice and a lingering cherry-pip finish.
