Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
The 2003 vintage is a single-vineyard, Wairau Valley wine, matured for a year in all-new French oak casks. It's a powerful, concentrated, muscular red, richly coloured, with very ripe, sweet fruit characters and bold plum, spice and slight liquorice flavours. Vibrantly fruit)', with noticeably high alcohol (15. 5 per cent), it's a firmly structured wine, best cellared to 2006+.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Still unfolding, the 2002 vintage is a youthful, sweet-fruited red. Grown in Dog Point Road, adjacent to the Omaka River, it was matured for a year in all-new French oak casks. Ruby-hued, it's a generous wine with good concentration of raspberry, cherry and plum flavours, spicy oak and ripe, supple tannins.
