Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
This won a trophy at last year's Air New Zealand Wine Awards. It's a pretty smart wine all around. Value, quality, distinction. Lots of flavours of spice and chocolate, dried herbs and plum - the overall effect being more than a little saucy. It's medium-bodied with sweet and sour flavours, firm tannin and tangy acidity. It needed to settle down a little when we tasted it, but it should be drinking very nicely right about now.

There's value for money in this Central Otago pinot - and there's a line you don't hear often! It's soft and fine with juicy, dark berry fruits, mixed spice, a note of sweet brioche and supple tannins. Drink it young.

A brassy layer of toasty oak and dark roasted spices sit across this ripe and quite intense Otago pinot noir. The fruit sits at the darker end of the berry and plum spectrum and is carried on a superb web of tannin and acid, fine and crunchy respectively. Brilliant balance.

This vineyard is perched in the northern corner of the Bendigo area. Here it shows bright ripe dark berry fruits and deep cherry aromas, really inviting and soft violetine fragrance, gentle spice, earthy minerals; a superb pinot nose. The palate has juicy upbeat style, real blueberry and baked cherry flavours, fine open-knit tannins that slide through the finish.
