Waipara Springs Premo Dry Riesling

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage was mostly handled in tanks, but 30 per cent was fermented in old barrels. It's a fully dry style (3.5 grams/litre of residual sugar) with a slightly honeyed bouquet, mouthfilling body (14 per cent alcohol) and lemony, spicy flavours, showing a touch of complexity and good depth.

Michael Cooper (2006 Vintage) says
Tight and slightly austere in its youth, the 2006 vintage was fermented in old oak barrels, with a small proportion of botrytised ('noble rot') grapes. Pale lemon/green, it's a fractionally off-dry wine (5.5 grams/litre of residual sugar) with impressive intensity, a faint hint of honey and good complexity. It's likely to be long-lived; open 2009 onwards.
