Warner Glen Estate Cabernet Merlot

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Eighteen months of barrel maturation has allowed a nice integration of tannin and fruits. Mouth coating tannins gently resolve to introduce bold fruit flavours, which are kept precise by succulent acidity.

Warner Glen Estate Cabernet Merlot

Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Strikes immediately with the distinctive scents of cabernet. The black currant and black olive influence takes over while the more lush fruit of merlot delivers in the background. It has a tight minerally thread and plenty of palate depth and intensity. Stylish wine.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
A 92/8% blend of estate-grown grapes that (after fermentation) spent 22 months in French oak. The colour is not particularly deep, and the wine as a whole is light- to medium-bodied, with cassis and more savoury black olive notes running throughout before a distinctly attractive, red berry lift on the finish.
