Warner Glen Estate Frog Belly Cabernet sauvignon

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Light to medium crimson-purple; blackcurrant, berry and leaf fruit drives the bouquet and savoury/earthy/briary palate; a cool-grown cabernet that needs a touch more vinosity on the mid-palate.
WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Youthful floral/fruit aromas with hint of mint. Palate is light, elegant and well balanced.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright, clear crimson; a fresh and lively Cabernet, with cassis and oak intertwined on both bouquet and palate; the overall juicy character makes it a drink now or whenever proposition.

Ray Jordan (2010 Vintage) says
Lifted black fruit on the nose with a trace of leafy eucalyptus. There's black currant and a sliver of black olive in there. The palate is quite firm with assertive tannins and a little oak in support. A tidy solid cabernet and good value for this price.
WA Wine Guide 2013 2012
Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Intense and well structured cabernet sauvignon. Black olive and light black currant on the nose with a nice spicy oak influence. The palate is reasonably firm in keeping with cabernet displaying power and refinement. Stacks up damn well for a cabernet under $20.

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
Cool leafy Cabernet on the nose brimming with red currant and light plum. This is a medium bodied easy drinking style with minimal oak influence and good fruit weight.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Beautiful, luscious wine with lovely bright blackcurrant fruit well integrated with intense cedary oak and great tannin structure. Lovely softness in the mouth.
