James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Dense purple-crimson; a blend of grapes from the diverse terroirs of Clarendon, Willunga and Sellicks Hill, the end result a quintessential McLaren Vale shiraz. It is crammed with supple black fruits in a shroud of dark chocolate, tannins and oak precisely weighted. Great value.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Purple-red; the palate is like a slow-burning fuse, the flavours building continuously as the wine travels along the palate, and even into the aftertaste; initially it seems oaky, but black fruits, licorice, spice and deliciously bitter chocolate progressively come into play, leaving the oak where it started.
