Wedgetail Estate Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Charmingly evolved and rustic, this is an early-drinking pinot of genuine character and depth. Its slightly stewy and gamey aromas of sweet red plums, raspberries and cherries reveal an undercurrent of earthy, leathery and undergrowth-like complexity. Rich and smooth, it presents a fine, supple and slightly sappy palate whose generous, meaty fruit is framed by fine tannins.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Complex, savoury, foresty; has finesse but not the flavour one expects.
Australian Wine Companion 2005 2004
James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light to medium purple-red; an aromatic and complex array of plum, spice and earth aromas are followed by a palate with silky texture, good length, and a lively finish. There was no Reserve Pinot made this vintage.
Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
A fragrant/savoury/sappy lift to the core of sweet plum on the bouquet and palate is the key to a wine with delicious freshness, fragrance, length and persistence. Drink while the 2000 Reserve (95 points, 55) matures.
