Tyson Stelzer (2008 Vintage) says
A crash of mouth-consuming tannins is a crescendo to crunchy red berry compote flavours, lifted rose petal perfume and dark chocolate oak. Notes of mixed spice and liquorice lurk in the background amid layers of wood spice oak and dried herb complexity. Approach with caution, and not for a very long time.
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Opaque purple-crimson, very slightly hazy; strong plum jam varietal expression on the bouquet; an unexpectedly fresh medium-bodied palate; very fine tannins. Stained corks in both '06 Wendouree wines a worry.Australian Wine Companion 2010 2009
