Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Appearance: Vibrant Salmon colour, excellent clarity.

Nose: Lively fresh strawberry and raspberry aromas with a hint of cinnamon.

Palate: This wine has great palate weight and fills the mouth with intense berry fruits and ripe strawberries. Fruit sweetness is balanced well with an integrated natural acidity allowing great length and a dry finish.

James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Vivid light crimson; made from early-picked cabernet franc; very good balance and texture underlie the fresh cherry and spice characters of the bouquet and the long, dry palate. Good with tapas.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright puce; a blend of Pinot Noir/Cabernet Sauvignon, strange bedfellows; the wine has plenty of red berry fruit flavour and a dry, slightly hollow, finish.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Totally delicious; a fresh cascade of strawberry and small berry red fruits with a twist of citrussy acidity; a wine to be gulped. Merlot/Pinot Noir.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir and shiraz are strange bedfellows, but here they have enjoyed their union; abundant red fruits and a nice, dry finish. A wine partly forced by a wet red grape vintage.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Strong pink colour; greater depth of flavour than many; red fruits and a twist of spice and tobacco; 100% Cabernet Franc.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Tangy and lively; distinctly herbal and lingering acidity; clearly shows the Cabernet Franc varietal background.
