Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Good colour and depth; a complex, medium- to full-bodied wine, estate-grown shiraz with a voluminous array of spice, tar, licorice and black fruits allied with American and French oak inputs; neither fined nor filtered, like all the Westlake red wines. 250 dozen made. Cork.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Dense, dark purple -crimson; opulent black fruits drive the bouquet and palate alike; this is a particularly distinguished '07 wine, with a textured palate where fleshy fruit is held in the embrace of fine, ripe tannins.

An immaculately balanced wine, with a flood of seductive black fruits, dark chocolate, ripe tannins and oak all effortlessly combining on the palate

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Big, soft and supple, with lots of mocha, blackberries and bright red berry fruit; very concentrated, yet very fine, with supple mouthfeel.
