Wild South Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The name wild south was chosen to mirror the raw beauty of Marlborough and to capture the essence of the region in every wine they make. Raw beauty is what winemaker Christie Brown has caught in this Pinot. We love its varietal aspect, showing vivid cherry and spice before a palate that shows immense balance between tannins and acids. It’s flavoursome long and is best drunk with earthy dishes like a wild mushroom and shredded duck ragu.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright cherry red in colour. Inviting and fragrant on the nose, with aromas of crushed strawberries and maraschino cherries, laced with vanilla and cinnamon.
A velvety texture through the palate compliments the vibrant, ripe fruit flavours with fine tannins giving definition and length.
A classical, satisfying Pinot Noir with a lingering memory on the palate.
