James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Dense, youthful red-purple; deep, ripe blackberry and cassis fruit on the bouquet is followed by an unusually powerful and concentrated palate reflecting the very low yield; still new-born and not easy to accurately assess.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Quite developed colour given its youth; the spicy blackberry fruit of the bouquet shows nicely ripened fruit together with a touch of cedar. Similar cassis, red and blackcurrant fruit flavours come through on the palate, finishing with soft, ripe tannins.

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; a very concentrated and ripe bouquet with rivulets of dark berry, dark chocolate and herb is followed by a high-flavoured palate with spice, chocolate, raspberry and herb flavours all intermingling

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Dense red-purple; the bouquet is fully ripe, with dark berry fruit supported by more briary/cedary notes. The palate is.impressive, bordering on oppressive, with abundant fruit and even more abundant tannins. By all means buy it, but do not open it other than with the prescription of a medical practitioner. Dr Wayne Stott will suffice.
