Willow Bridge Wild Ferment Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
Fruit sourced from Pemberton for this very good crisp finely textured savvy. Like the slight bit of funk in the nose and palate which has a very long precise finish. Excellent mouth feel from the ferment and the freshness is a key feature.

A lifted bouquet of tropical fruit and a gunflint smokiness; a rich palate, with fine acid and a little grip on the finish.

Nice to see the guys having a go with some indigenous yeasts to bring about a different style of sav blanc. IT still has those lifted tropical and slightly herbaceous characters but the funky wild yeast characters really add another dimension in depth and fruit complexity. Retains a nice delicacy.
