James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; has considerable upfront aroma and flavour, in a ripe, verging on tropical, citrus spectrum, so much so that the normal Tasmanian acidity is almost hidden. Will drink best over the next few years.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Still showing some CO2, but has a strong, minerally personality; has a great track record of improving with age

Bright green-straw; developing slowly but surely, with a mix of lime, mandarin and apple; good length and balance.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light green-yellow; the bouquet is clean, with quite positive lime/citrus fruit and a more minerally underlay; the palate, however, veers off in a different direction, with ripe, even cooked, apple flavours. Could quite possibly have been an aberrational bottle.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow-green; the bouquet is firm, with a mix of mineral (predominant) and citrus aromas. The palate is still classically austere and undeveloped; will blossom with time in bottle

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Pale yellow-green; a high-toned bouquet with lots of toasty spicy fruit le ds into a similarly powerfull, rich ind flavorsome palate with an array of lime, toast and spice fruit flavours.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Light yellow-green; an array of aromas and flavours running through herbal/toasty to more Germanic kerosene and lime; the palate is well balanced, with a judicious touch of residual sugar to counter the high acid of the year.
