Cracka Review

Big trees. That's what Pemberton is most famous for, the township nestled in amongst the massive Karri tree forests of south western WA. In amongst said forest there is also a few vineyards too - mainly small ones really - growing grapes in the cool wet conditions of this part of WA. This fittingly looks snappy and fresh, a bright and grassy Sauv picked early and still looking bright and delicious.

Winemaker's Notes

The Pemberton region is ideally suited to growing aromatic and flavour-some Sauvignon Blanc. This wine demonstrates distinct varietal characteristics of passion fruit on the nose balanced by clean citrus on the palate balanced out with refreshing natural acidity.

Wise Wine Pemberton Sauvignon Blanc

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
The 10 lines of print on the back label are remarkable, as they could be used for any variety, white or red, grown anywhere. This wine in fact speaks volumes on its intense, citrus and herb palate, the dry finish long and lingering.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Generous wine, with abundant fruit flavour in the middle of the tropical range, but is somewhat four square; the finish slightly congested. Screwcap.

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
Deliciously presented sav Blanc from Pemberton. Distinct passionfruit and lime juice on the nose carries to the lively and intense palate. Crunchy, vibrant fruit.

Fragrant citrus and passionfruit aromas; perfect clarity and great intensity to the long palate and lingering aftertaste.
