Witches Falls Winery Wild Ferment Chardonnay
This bonny little chardy from Witches Falls out of Queensland has certainly gained some fans over the years, which is no surprise when you take your first sip. A truck-load of peaches, honey, toasted vanilla, citrus and roasted nuts tumble out of the glass, whilst the palate is quite fulsome and generous, with rich stone fruit and savoury flavours, a touch of creaminess to the mouthfeel, and a refreshing line of lemony acidity cleaning up the lingering finish. Great with chook or vintage cheddar.
A classic chardonnay! White peach and honey with a toasted vanilla pod on the nose lead to a complex, rich, full-bodied wine a long complex finish.
