Witchmount Estate Lowen Park Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The Witchmount Range is confidently steered by winemaker Stephen Goodwin who manages to coax the best out of Shiraz grapes to produce a well rounded and finessed red that is best paired with a steak. Full of red berried intensity underpinned by vanillin oak this is medium bodied with sweet fruit and a soft tannin structure. Nicely balanced, it’s the kind of easy-drinking red that empties itself into your glasses.

Winemaker's Notes

Colour: Deep red.

Nose: Raspberry aromas, complimented by subtle oak.

Palate: The medium bodied palate has sweet berry fruit and subtle oak flavours. Ripe tannins give this wine excellent texture and balance.

Medium to full red-purple; the clean bouquet offsets spicy savoury notes against dark fruits; the light to medium-bodied palate is fresh, with some chocolate joining the dominant dark fruit flavours; well handled oak.
