James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Some colour development obvious; a complex bouquet of licorice, multi-spice and black fruits sets the scene for the medium-bodied palate; here the texture and structure are commendable.

Rob Geddes MW (2008 Vintage) says
Victorian shiraz without eucalypt, showing fresh pepper, fruit richness (plum and cherry) and oak intensity. Oak backs up the fruit with a healthy dose of drying intensity.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
Witchmount shiraz caused a sensation a couple of years back when it won a minor international award _ but gained a massive steam of publicity as a result. The Witchmount wines are variable in quality, but when they get it right... Superb drinking. Call your best friends and share a glass of this with them. It's ever so soft, ever so pure, ever so perfect in its ripe, smooth delivery of flavour. Plums and spices and coffeed oak. A marriage of flavours made in heaven. You could cellar this, but it's unlikely to ever taste better than it does now.

Medium-bodied, complex, but perfectly fused black fruits, cedar oak and fine tannins; long finish and immaculate balance.

Nick Stock (2004 Vintage) says
From a vineyard attached to a Sunbury restaurant and function venue not far from Melbourne, this shiraz is a complex savoury style with smoked meats and spicy berry fruits. The palate delivers juicy vibrant blackberry flavour, chocolate-like tannins and a brash, driving finish.

Elegant, supple and smooth; bordering on delicate, yet has terrific drive and length.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Highly fragrant red fruits and spice aromas; cherry, raspberry arid plum fruit; long, fine palate.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Bright, deep red-purple; the sweet and clean bouquet unfolds with blackberry, spice, raspberry and cherry aromas, the palate bringing distinct dark chocolate overtones to the abundant fruit play of the palate, adding complexity; balanced tannins to close.
