Rob Geddes MW (2011 Vintage) says
Ripeness shows here with tropical to gooseberry in most years to occasional green capsicum with a crow-pleasing powerful fruit and off dry palate. A safe bet. Drink up two years from vintage.

WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Tight and youthful, with refined, gently herbaceous aromas and flavours that build well across the palate. Limey and minerally, with excellent delicacy and length, and some aging potential; open mid-2011+. (Single-vineyard wine from a site on the Wairau Valley coast.)

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
Grown at Rarangi, on the Wairau Valley coast, this can be a striking wine. The 2010 vintage is tight and youthful, with refined, gently herbaceous aromas and flavours that build well across the palate. Limey and minerally, with excellent delicacy and length, it has definite aging potential.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
This single-site sauvignon has a clean-cut lime and herb style to it, with plenty of grassy background aromas and some stony nuances. The palate's nicely shaped and has a more sleek, minerally style, lime-sherbet flavour and a long, even finish. Terrific wine to step up to from the regular bottling.

WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Nose that "smacks of autumn fruit" and big, sweet palate - well-made and "very convincing!"

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Very bright, lifted grassy/gooseberry aromas; pungent and floral. More gooseberries and tropical varietal characters dominate the palate and get the acid singing!
