Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
Estate-grown at Cromwell, this wine is hand-picked from low-yielding vines and given extended oak-aging. All silky charm, the 2008 vintage was harvested at nearly 26 brix and matured for 18 months in French oak casks (40 per cent new). Ruby-hued, it is rich, supple and flowing, with an array of cherry, plum, herb, spice and nut flavours, in a very elegant, 'feminine' style. The 2009 is deeply coloured, with lovely richness of plum, cherry, liquorice and nut flavours. Finely textured, it is very sweet-fruited and highly concentrated; drink now or cellar.
