Woollaston Nelson Pinot Gris

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2012 Vintage) says
fleshy, rich, single-vineyard wine from Upper Moutere, hand-picked and barrek-fermented. Weighty, with strong peach, pear and spice flavours, slightly buttery notes, hint of biscuity oak and a dry, rounded finish. Certified organic.

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
This organically citified vineyard hails from the cool, maritime sub-region of Nelson in the upper South Island. Expessive pear and citrus fruits combine with notes of lemon curd and almond paste. Energetic on the palate, but slightly unbalanced on the finish.

WINESTATE (2010 Vintage) says
Lovely lifted lemon zest aromas. Creamy in the mouth with pear and quince paste-like flavours.
WINESTATE Volume 34 - Special Edition 2011
Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
The 2010 vintage, hand-picked and handled entirely in tanks, is a fresh, crisp, full-bodied wine, slightly sweet (7 grams/litre of residual sugar), with citrus-fruit, peach and spice flavours showing good delicacy, harmony and depth.

WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Lean, oaky aromas and long, ripe palate with an oily mouthfeel. A touch hot.
Winestate magazine 2010
Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
Some pear and gently minerally notes on the nose of this Nelson pinot gris, really quite cleanand pure. The palate is gently sweet and has more of the region's stone and gravel amid pear, musk and lingering honeysuckle flavour. Closure Screwcap
