Expert Reviews

Ray Jordan (2008 Vintage) says
This is a pretty handy viognier that combines the rich unctuous and slightly slipper oily characters with some bracing acidity and lively citrus tang to achieve a great palate balance. Intense gingery orange blossom and apricot characters on the nose and palate. Long satisfying finish.
Ray Jordan's 2010 WA Wine Guide 2010
WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Smells of apricot jam and ginger and tastes much the same. Very fresh, rich, well-balanced palate with a powerful phenolic backbone.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Lots of tropical apricot fruit, full in the mouth, and with some non-specific impression of sweetness, plus some phenolics on the finish. Not an easy variety
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Light, fresh, aromatic nose and a palate that has complexity, structure and length, with good depth of varietal flavours.
Winestate 20082009
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Has more overt fruit than the Single Barrel, but is still supple and generous, and avoids phenolics; gold Geographe Wine Show '07.
