Cracka Review

Colour: Pale straw with a slight green tinge.

Bouquet: The vibrant bouquet offers fresh citrus and herbal aromas with guava and lemon sherbet characters in the background.

Palate: Medium bodied, the lively palate displays spicy tropical characters, passion fruit and zesty citrus flavours. An easy drinking Classic Margaret River wine style with wonderful purity of fruit with a crisp refreshing finish.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
A true classic with its punchy/stalky/sweaty nose and well-structured palate filled with flavour and well supported by lovely crisp acidity.

Peter Forrestal (2007 Vintage) says
Glenn Goodall and the team at Rathbone's Xanadu, close to the township of Margaret River, have well and truly reestablished the credentials of the winery so this wine doesn't surprise. It's fresh, clean and lively with apple and grapefruit flavours, plus some ripe tropical notes and strong zesty acidity.

A minerally style of wine, with pungent aromas and light asparagus and herbal-like flavours.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Clean, tangy aromas; crisp, fresh and lively, with a mix of tropical and more grassy flavours

Ken Gargett (2006 Vintage) says
After a few years of confusion, it does seem that the team at Xanadu are getting their act back together. Good thing too because when they're good... This is unashamedly designed to be a forward, early drinking style and fair enough—nothing wrong with being popular. There are some touches of citrus and pineapple with some acidity to bind it all together. Softer and broader than a lot of comparable quaffers, so chill to enjoy.
