James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Pale quartz-green; a lithe and intense semillon with many facets to its make-up; the wild herb and lemon citrus bouquet has a feather-light touch of oak; the palate is incredibly long and fine; has all manner of complexities to evolve with time.

Tyson Stelzer (2009 Vintage) says
One of Margaret River's finest solo Semillons, this is a classically fine style with cut grass, fresh lime, lemon thyme and mint leaf flavours. A touch of barrel fermentation pulls it together into a style of great purity, line and length.
Ray Jordan (2002 Vintage) says
This as the variety that put Xanadu on the map, as far as I'm concerned it's still the best wine they made. This is simply stunning. Rich and complex , but with finesse and style. The palate has a wonderful smoky nutty aroma with a keen cut of fresh citrus. The palate is deeply complex and sophisticated. Gets barrel treatment and winemaker Jurg Muggli sucks every bit of good stuff out of it. A beauty

James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium yellow-green; a very clean, powerful and smooth bouquet with herb and honey aromas is followed by a very long palate and clean finish with excellent acidity. The oak influence throughout is perfectly judged in its restraint
