This was made by Joel Pizzini (of Pizzini wines fame) but it was grown in the emerging Gundagai region. Not a weighty wine but it's got lots going for it. It's meaty, juicy, curranty and fresh, with lots of fleshy, juicy, spicy character and a leathery, gamey aftertaste. You wouldn't call it a squeaky-clean wine, but you would call it charismatic and interesting. Indeed there's something gorgeously Australian about this wine - you can almost taste the larrikin in it. Delightful.
