Yalumba Museum Reserve Muscat

Cracka Review

This luscious dessert wine is deep amber to tawny in colour, with the classic perfumed aroma of the muscat grape - rose petal, ginger and orange peel, with a hint of raisined fruit. The palate has a soft, luscious texture, and is richly flavoured displaying a balance of fruit and aged characters. The finish is full and rich with raisined fruits and spices lingering in the aftertaste.

Yalumba Wine Reviews and Accolades

"...heady, complex aromas of toffee, spices, toasted nuts, and dried yellow fruits (apricot especially); flavors of rich, intense dried stone fruits, with spice, ginger, orange peel all factored in..." - 93 Points, Jane Garvey for Atlanta Wine School (USA), 2006

"...the non-vintage Museum Reserve Muscat, which boasts a medium deep amber hue as well as stunning aromas and huge flavors oozing with glycerine, sweetness, honeyed figs, jammy berries, and notions of tea, molasses, and prunes. These wines do not improve in the bottle, but they will last for many years." - 96 Points, Robert Parker for The Wine Advocate, 2006

"Silky and seductive, sweet, rich and loaded with flavor, offering cofee, walnut, orange peel, cherry, cream and exotic spice flavours that just don't quit. Drink now through 2020" - 93 Points, Harvey Steiman for Wine Spectator (USA), 2002

WINESTATE says
An excellent wine. Youthful with soome very old back-blended material imparting exquisite raisin, spice and oak characters on the nose. The rounded, rich, fleshy palate reveals lovely developed flavours and good integration of spirit and barrel age.  Long peppery finish.
