Yarra Burn Pyrenees Shiraz

Expert Reviews

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says
Yarra Valley-based Yarra Burn has invested a lot of time and money in the Pyrenees region and it would be fair to say that the jury is still out as to whether it's all been worth it. This wine is a vote in its favour. Its' not stellar but it surely is very good. Lots of ripe flavour, an in-built (but not in-your-face) spiciness, fruity tannins, and a sound, juicy aftertaste. It tastes of plums, mint, violets, liquorice and cedarwood. It's been matured in some quality oak too. Time should be kind to it. It's a very nice wine.
