Campbell Mattinson (2012 Vintage) says
Yarraloch chardonnay is a star performer. It’s 100 percent wild yeast fermented in a mix of (French oak) barrel sizes and ages. Coopers are Francois Frere, Mercurey, Siruge and Toutant – just for the record.

This is a cracking chardonnay. Superb. Intense, sweet, ripe fruit but with a steely strength to it. Grapefruit, lemon, peach, toasty oak. High struck match elements. Hits you between the eyes and then carries on and on. Great price. Sensational buying.
The Wine Front
James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Bright straw-green; a wine that sings the praises of the '11 vintage for Yarra chardonnay; marries intensity with finesse, precision with flavour, the last given by white peach, nectarine and grapefruit flavours undimmed by French oak, and driving the brilliantly long finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2013 2012
James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Light straw-green, near-identical to Stephanie's Dream; a super-elegant and super-refined wine, every note carefully calibrated as you move through from the bouquet, to the palate, to the finish and aftertaste; the flavours are first and foremost of white fleshed stone fruit, polished by perfect acidity.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
With a fine lemon, grapefruit and flint nose - really pure and breezy - this has mouth-watering appeal. The palate's laid out in impressive shape, building some stone fruits through the citrus and pinned in place with fine, precise acidity.
The Good Wine Guide 2011
James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Tightly wound, restrained, pear-fruit bouquet; a taut and fine palate with a little savoury complexity and very bright and focused fruit; the finish is very long and opens up with a complex array of flavours, from grilled nuts to lemon fruit.
Australian Wine Companion 2010 2009
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Fine and focused pear flesh aromas, with hints of toast and cashews; the palate has great thrust, with lively acidity on the finish; fine, yet generously textured.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Elegant perfumed peach blossom aromas; fine and yet very intense nectarine and grapefruit; long finish, the oak a bystander.
Australian Wine Companion 2008 2007
James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Supple and smooth; great mouthfeel to the melon and nectarine fruit; long finish; subtle oak throughout
