Sustainable has become a buzzword for many wineries and Peter Yealand was responsible for the first sustainable winery of its kind in New Zealand. Far from being some kind of grass smoking, tree hugging idealistic way of making wine, it’s a way of farming sensible and reducing the risk to the environment. Classic Savvy characters here of grapefruit and guava with a mineral edge before a refreshing core of citrus acids flood the finish.

Our Yealands Estate Land Made Series of wines are sourced from New Zealand’s leading wine regions. Individual parcels of grapes are nurtured from the vine to the bottle, using sustainable growing practices ensuring our wines represent the very purest expression of the land.

Nose: Notes of stone fruit and guava are underpinned with notes of fresh herbs.

Palate: The palate is brimming with fresh, vivacious fruit that is balanced with a long, crisp mineral finish.

Food: Seafood, Chicken salads and pastas.

Alcohol: 13.0%

Refined, single-vineyard wine, grown in the Awatere Valley. Sweet-fruited, with good intensity, delicacy and purity of gooseberry, lime and fresh-cut grass flavours, slightly minerally and long.
