This dessert-style pinot gris is a delicate, sweet wine that would be the bomb with pear tart and vanilla cream. Aromas of poached pears, apple crumble, flaked almonds and lemon curd tempt the senses, and faithfully translate to the gentle, non-cloying palate that shows precision in balance between the sweetness and acidity, leading to a smooth, slightly honeyed finish.

Winemaker's Notes

This upper Yarra Valley Pinot Gris was picked at the height of ripeness then snap frozen. Cold pressed, enabling us to double the concentration of sugar and flavour leaving the ice core behind. Slow tank fermentation results in pear/ginger fruit complimented with a clean, sweet middle palate and a zippy acid finish. 


Appearance: Light yellow with a slight pink tinge.

Nose: The bouquet is fragrant & clean, with pear & ginger.

Palate: Complex array of intense sweetness and exotic fruit flavours, ginger, pear and blue gum honey support a citrus finish.

Cellaring: Drink now or over the next few years.

Alcohol: 11.0%
