Yering Station Single Vineyard Willow Lake Old Vine Chardonnay

Cracka Review

Colour: Pale Straw.

Nose: Lemon and lime dominates the nose with hints of green apple and wet slate.

Palate: The extremely long and lean palate exhibits great minerality and chalkiness. This is attributed to the soils in which the vineyard is located.

A real head-turner on paper with just 11 % alcohol, this has super-fine citrus fruits on the nose - quite chablis-like - and some lime curd, marzipan and toasted hazelnut complexity. Striking acidity and finesse on the palate: super-dry lemon citrus flavour, very long and sleek, with almond pastry to close.
