Yering Station Village ED Pinot Noir Rose

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Hailing from the Yarra Valley, this is a lovely dry style of Rose that displays rosewater, red cherry and spicy, earthy scents on the nose. The palate is lighter-bodied and red fruited with bracken and deli-meat notes, gentle tannins, and a dry, savoury and spice finish. This is a great food wine that will go with anything from veggie to light pork dishes.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Turkish Zultanite, copper river.

Nose: Delicate mandarine and Christmas cherry. Savoury, spices typical of Pinot Noir. Earthy undertones.

Palate: Lovely pristine juicey fruit centre, subtle herbal spices compliment the fine line of tannin and texture.

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
Pale cherry red, this has light bracken, cherry and an edge of more savoury, meaty notes too. The palate s all bright, crunchy cherry and strawberry fruits, lovely smooth texture and nice, dry resolve.

Jeremy Oliver (2011 Vintage) says
Racy and brightly lit, with a vibrant, floral bouquet of raspberries, red cherries and white flowers backed by a hint of spice and meatiness. It?s long and savoury, with intense, juicy flavour that eases back towards a refreshing finish of zesty acids and a lingering note of lemon sherbet.
