Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Light red; the palate is also relatively light-bodied, but has a complex array of the various fruit faces of merlot all in the one glass, ranging from black olive all the way through to raspberry. Good food wine.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Light, clear colour; while only light-to-medium-bodied, the wine has good varietal expression through its complex web of cassis, black olive, fruitcake and spice aromas and flavours; the final note is of juicy sweet red fruits.

WINESTATE (2005 Vintage) says
A soft, easy-drinking wine with an attractive composty/earthy pong to the nose and a nicely balanced palate.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Fine and fragrant; excellent varietal flavour and structure; raspberry and plum offset by olive; fine, savoury tannins.

Ray Jordan (2001 Vintage) says
Has the dark cherry and plum characters of merlot with a subdued raisin character. Through t runs a mint red berry aroma, which is quite appealing. The palate is soft with fine tannins and a pleasant finish
