Expert Reviews

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
An intense and complex minerally style thats quite high in acid. Smells like grapefruit and has very good fruit flavours.

Ken Gargett (2002 Vintage) says
The Benedictine monks who make the Zarephath wines in the Porongurups down in the Great Southern area of Western Australia clearly know a thing or two about making good chardonnay. This is the second vintage of this chardonnay that I have thought is terrific so we can firmly say the Circle of Christ is on a roll. The wine may be hard to find, so I suggest you call the winery (it may be a little difficult for many readers to pop in) on 08 9853 1152.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow-green; complex smoky/toasty barrel-ferment aromas on the bouquet are also reflected on the palate, where light melon fruit provides the core. Skilfully oak-driven, and does not show its 14° alcohol.
