James Halliday (2013 Vintage) says
One of three identically labelled regional wines, the others McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley, the making virtually identical, focused on the rich fruit each wine has, but tempered by the dictates of the region. Here there is the essential soft mid-palate fruit of Langhorne Creek, but it also has an admirable degree of finesse.

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Bright colour: the touch of viognier (less than 5%) has added a degree of freshness and elegance to the multitude of flavours of this medium_bodied wine, the fragrance of the bouquet sending the first signals of the red and black fruits, spice and controlled oak flavours; fine, ripe tannins lengthen the finish.

WINESTATE (2009 Vintage) says
Well-made, chunky wine with a fruit-driven nose and a big, powerful, jammy palate with clean flavours edged with herbal-like characters.

Perfumed, typical fruit flavours of the blend; throws the emphasis onto that fruit and away from structure into a cheerful early-drinking style.

Nick Stock (2007 Vintage) says
Viognier adds depth and complexity here; this has savoury spice and integrated meaty characters, bright berries and clear viognier fruits. The palate has soul and verve, purple and blue berries, some cassis, fine tannins and earthy rich appeal.
