Brookland Valley Vineyard Winery

Overlooking Wilyabrup Brook in the heart of Western Australia’s Margaret River, Brookland Valley was founded by Malcolm and Deidre Jones in 1984 during their quest to return to a quieter country life.

What began as a dream to become artisanal cheese makers soon shifted with the realization that the Margaret River has great potential to grow world-beating wines. Over time their hunch paid off so that Brookland Valley is now one of Margaret River’s best known wine producers with significant success at Australian wine shows. Their greatest achievement to date was being awarded “Winery of the Year” in the 2009 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion edition. In 2004, Brookland Valley Vineyard was purchased from the Jones family by the Hardy Wine Company, now part of Constellation wines.

Brookland Valley Philosophy

Brookland Valley’s winemaking philosophy is a simple one: ‘100% pure Margaret River wines’, crafted from classic cultivars with minimal winemaking intervention. This allows the characteristics of each particular variety to be a focus, and the resultant wines to truly reflect their terroir’.

Brookland Valley Label

The bronze Pan statue on each Brookland Valley label is Daphnis, the flute-playing figure from Greek Mythology. He underpins the Brookland Valley belief that enjoying fine wine is further enhanced by good food, laughter and in good company.
