Cracka Wines 'Trade Only' Auctions

Cracka Wines ‘Trade Only’ Auctions is a unique online marketplace that allows Australian liquor license holders to compete for excess inventory on an entirely level playing field.

Modeled on the system used by the Sydney Fish Markets, Cracka Wine Auctions are held at 3pm every Tuesday (AEST) and typically last for about 15 to 30 minutes.

Unlike traditional auctions, our prices start high (typically full LUC) and then literally start falling once the auction commences. The asking price per bottle for each product continues to drop until every case has been sold.

Participants have the ability to purchase one or more cases of wine on offer simply by accepting the price displayed on the screen for that product at that time. Obviously the longer you wait the lower the price you’ll pay, however wait too long and you run the risk of missing out altogether.

If for some reason you’re unable to participate in the actual auction, ‘sealed bids’ can be lodged for any of the products during the week leading up to each auction.

In addition, email reminders can be set for any products listed in the auctions.

Products on offer vary from week to week and include a wide variety of brands, regions, varieties and price points – but are importantly all sourced directly ex-winery. End-of-vintage stock, failed export orders and niche products with no established price point in the marketplace will make up the majority of products on offer.

Unlike other online auction platforms, all products offered are checked and approved by our team of experts before they are listed. Should there be a fault or problem with any of the wines you purchase, simply return them within 30 days and we’ll provide you with a credit for the full purchase price.

Purchases are picked and dispatched from our Sydney warehouse the day following the auction and are typically delivered to Eastern seaboard customers (including Adelaide) within 2 to 3 working days.
